Dr. Fatema Alrashed Wins 2023 Young Researcher Award

The Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) announced the names of the winners of the Jaber Al-Ahmad Award for Young Researchers in its 34th session for the year 2023. This Award recognizes distinguished Kuwaiti researchers holding doctoral degrees. As reported by KUNA, Dr. Fatema Salem Alrashed, Scientist at DDI’s Immunology and Microbiology Unit, won the award in the field of biological sciences. Dr. Fatema has emerged as a pioneering figure in her field, proving her competence by performing in-depth research on the metabolic inflammation associated with diabetes and its interaction with chronic conditions.
