DDI Researchers Volunteer at Local Hospitals to Help with SARS-COV-2 Testing

Researchers at DDI have volunteered their time and expertise to help screen patients for COVID-19

A group of DDI researchers offered to volunteer their skills at different local hospitals to help with the increased demand for SARS-CoV-2 testing. The screening measures intensified with the return of many Kuwaitis from abroad, the volunteers worked to help ease the burden on healthcare workers and laboratory technicians.

Motasem Melhem, Dr. Ghazi Alghanim, Dr. Maha Hammad, Dr. Suleiman Marafie, Sara AlKandari, Emil Anoop, Nada Alamaldin, Preethi Cherian, Dr. Fatema Al-Rashed, Steve Shenouda, Irina AlKhairi, and Lavina Miranda were DDI volunteers that contributed to the COVID-19 screening.
