The workshop covers several topics, including risk factors for diabetic retinopathy, signs of diabetic retinopathy, how to diagnose diabetic retinopathy, stages of development of retinopathy, reading retinal examinations, and the latest recommendations regarding this disease.

This workshop was held and organized at the Dasman Diabetes Institute, which was established by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Primary Health Care, as part of its efforts to spread health awareness and improve the quality of medical services provided regarding diabetes and its various complications.
