French Toast
This French toast recipe is a healthy and delicious way to start your day! Made with whole-wheat bread and low-fat milk, it's a perfect breakfast for kids and adults.
Equipment
- 1 skillet or griddle non-stick
- 1 bowl or deep dish
- 1 whisk
- 1 spatula
- 1 measuring spoons

Ingredients
- 1 egg large
- 1 cup milk skimmed, low fat
- 4 slices toast whole wheat
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon ground
- 1 spray butter spray or any oil spray
Instructions

- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and spray a small amount of butter spray or any other oil spray. You'll know it's ready if a drop of water sizzles on the surface.1 spray butter spray or any oil spray
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are coated. Let the bread soak up the mixture for a few seconds.4 slices toast
- Place the bread slices on the hot skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the edges become golden and crispy.
- Using a spatula, flip and cook on the other side for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add your favorite fruits as a garnish and enjoy!
